tedmesiacos250x286Ted Mesiacos, Masters Degree in Urban Planning & Policy from the University of Illinois (Chicago) with a concentration in Physical Planning and Development and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana). He also holds a certificate in Total Quality Management from the Quality Training Institute, Inc. and is a LEED Green Associate. He is also affiliated with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and is a member of The Illinois Association of School Business Officials. Since 2006, Mr. Mesiacos has been the owner and operator of Themes Architectural Design firm with an office in Aurora, IL. The firm specializes in the Government, Educational and Entertainment sectors. He holds active licenses with the State of Illinois as an Architect and Interior Designer.

As life-long resident of Aurora, IL, Mr. Mesiacos is highly involved in his community. He’s a previous member of the Aurora Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals, where he was involved in the comprehensive planning and development of the City of Aurora. This invaluable experience allows him a unique understanding of the “big picture” in public architecture. Further, he was elected as the 3rd Ward Alderman of the City of Aurora, IL in 2013. As an Alderman, he also serves on Aurora’s Government Operations Committee.
