spirohaxhi250x286Spiro V. Haxhi was born in Tirana, Albania, on December 7, 1944. He grew up in a good, small country devastated by World War II. After graduating from the State University of Tirana with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1967, he lived and worked in socialist and capitalist systems in Albania and USA for almost 40 years as inspector and Quality Control Engineer and Manager.

Discovering and externalizing of the quality concept and its measurement became the main focus of his research for many years. In 1996, after the collapse of the socialist system, he immigrated to the USA. Member of ASQ and team member in QTI of Chicago, he published the book Quality Quantification Theory in 2010.

The concept of “quality” or goodness and other related concepts like “good,” “well-being,” and “general welfare” in politic, economic, and social sciences, have not been discovered. Their meaning has been taken for granted, as if we know what they are. The reality is that these concepts, hidden in any individual mind, are known by everybody’s brain but nobody’s language. In his book, Mr. Haxhi discovers and codifies the mysterious concept of quality - reforming in what we believe is quality is a starting point of a conceptual revolution in understanding, governing and living the life of humanity.
