BillGunlicksBill Gunlicks has over four decades of executive management and operating experience in small to large private and publicly held companies. From 1996 to early 2009 he served as CEO of a publicly traded company, and then a privately held company. In 2010 he established an independent Chicago based business consulting firm for CEOs, management, owners and Board Directors of start-up and small and medium size privately held businesses. He is an Adjunct Professor at DePaul University Chicago, Driehaus College of Business, Kellstadt Graduate Business School, Department of Finance, and is a past member of the chief executive organization, Vistage International, Inc.

In 1996 he established Founding Partners Capital Management Company, a privately owned business engaged in providing active investment management and advisory services to qualified investors and fiduciaries, and developed an investment program that resulted in consistent, positive investment returns with low volatility.

From 1990 to 1995 he organized, established, and was Chairman and CEO of Founders Financial Corporation, an independent NASDAQ listed bank holding company, and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Founders National Trust Bank, with four private banking locations in Southwest Florida. In early 1996 Founders merged with the second largest Florida based financial institution, and he then established Founding Partners Capital Management Company.

From 1967 to 1989 he served in various corporate and investment banking and investment management positions with Continental Illinois National Bank, a major international money center bank, in Chicago (thirteen years) and its New York office (nine years). Management responsibilities included: corporate banking and lending, international banking, equity and fixed income investment management, corporate finance, capital markets, and investment banking. He was an Executive Vice President of Continental Bank and the bank’s holding company from 1982-1989, and then established Founders Financial Corporation and Founders National Trust Bank.

Born and raised in Nebraska, he graduated from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, in 1964 with a Bachelor of Science degree, and in 1967 from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, with a Master of Business Administration degree. A segment of his graduate study was at Oxford University, England. He attended a financial management program at Harvard Business School in the summers of 1972 and 1973 and at Dartmouth College in the summer of 1974, and attended the Aspen Institute of Humanistic Studies, Aspen, Colorado, in the summer of 1982. He served on active military duty in the U.S. Army as an Infantry officer, including Vietnam, from 1964-1966. During his military service he was a Platoon Leader, Battalion Adjutant and an Aide-de-camp to a Division Commander. In 1966 he was awarded the U.S. Army Commendation Medal.

He and his wife, Pamela, have three married adult children and eight grandchildren. They have both been active in community activities and programs, with an emphasis on youth and young adult education and development.
