Timothy Stewart. Tim Stewart is a farm boy from Western Nebraska who spent 21 years in the Uniform of the U.S. Army, retiring as a captain in 1998. Mr. Stewart has a BA in Management and Administration from Columbia College. He has filled all industrial management positions from team leader to plant manager. He also has been an athletic coach for over 30 years working with athletes from five years old to being the Varsity Men’s soccer coach for Johnsburg High School, consulting with college athletics along the way.


To round out his resume, Mr. Stewart has done over 50 million in sales in the financial services industry, is a published author, accomplished speaker, an ordained minister and has been married to April for over 39 years. Today, he is an Executive Leadership Coach where he uses his experience to teach others how to effectively build and lead teams from youth athletics to small business and large organizations. Nasser Afzali, MSA, CSA RTRP graduated in 1980, from Roosevelt University in Accounting. He is a certified senior advisor and tax consultant. Dr. John N. Kalaras, Ph.D. CEO & Founder of Quality Training Institute, has a remarkable career as an ambassador of change, with excellent leadership skills, innovation and creativity. As a key-note speaker, Dr. Kalaras has delivered main addresses at the Motivation Show in Chicago for five years at the Manufacturer’s Show in Rosemont; in 2005 he shared the podium with the then Senator Barack Obama, now President Obama, at a National Leadership Conference, Organized by the US Customs and Boarder Protection. He has also volunteered his services to community and youth organizations.

George P. Nassos is principal of George P. Nassos & Associates (www.georgepnassos.com), a consulting company focusing on environmental sustainability and renewable energy. He is also president of Sustainable Energy Systems (www.ses-il.com), marketing a new onsite waste-to-energy technology. For 14 years, he was Industry Associate Professor and the Director of the M.S. in Environmental Management and Sustainability program at Illinois Institute of Technology’s graduate business school until he retired in 2011. He had been teaching the sustainability capstone course since 1997 and, as a result, he has over 300 graduates/disciples preaching environmental and social sustainability worldwide. Research for the capstone course resulted in writing the text book “Practical Sustainability Strategies: How to Gain a Competitive Advantage”, published by John Wiley and Son. He has been given the unofficial title in the Chicago area as “Mr. Sustainability” bestowed on him by the last Chicago Commissioner of the Department of Environment.


Prior to academia, he worked 15 years for Chemical Waste Management, developing unique treatment and disposal technologies including fuel pellets from non-recyclable waste, and 16 years for International Minerals & Chemical Corp. in various managerial positions, the last four years as Managing Director of the company’s German and Dutch subsidiaries. He earned a B.S. (U of Illinois), M.S. and Ph.D (Northwestern U.) all in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from Northwestern University.

Elene Cafasso, Marketing-Finance University of Chicago Booth. After a 14 year career in which she held Vice President positions in the banking and telecom industries, Ms. Cafasso founded her Executive Coaching firm, Enerpace, Inc. in 2002. Ms. Cafasso has been featured on NBC 5 Chicago News, Money Magazine, CareerBuilder.com, The New York Daily News and Crain’s Chicago Business, among others.


 Ms. Cafasso is certified by the International Coach Federation and professionally trained as a coach by CTI (The Coaches Training Institute). A continuous learner in the discipline she loves and respects, she has continued her training with additional coursework in Organizational and Relationship Systems, Shadow Coaching, and Power Coaching with Mind Kinetics. Ms. Cafasso is active with the University of Chicago Women’s Business Group, hosting monthly webinars on career management, leadership development and business building. At Quality Training Institute, Inc. Ms. Cafasso brings her knowledge and coaching expertise from her Executive Coaching Firm, Enerpace, Inc. in training, coaching and providing seminars.

Richard Heller, MBA, Black Belt. Purdue University, BA Western Michigan quality departments for small, medium and large manufacturing companies. He has 15 years experience as a business quality consultant, trainer and coach. Mr. Heller is a long-term senior member of ASQ, a member of the ASQ Century Club and has earned his CQE, CMQ/OE, CQA and CSSGB.


Mr. Heller has implemented multiple TQM, ISO 9001 and TS 16949 quality management systems. He received his Six-Sigma Black Belt from Allied-Signal and has trained over 200 individuals as Six-Sigma Green Belts and Black Belts.

Nick Kalaras received his BA in Operation's Management from DeVry University in 2014. He has over five years experience in the retail industry, managing daily business operations such as receiving, inventory control, pricing, purchasing and customer service.


Nick is the Project and Office Coordinator at QTI where he manages the services offered, plans events and works with QTI's consultants to ensure their services are delivered to their clients. He also takes part in the creative and marketing team for the company's continuous improvement and reports to the Board of Directors various analytical reports.
